About me

As one of six children encouraged to love music from a very early age, my musical career was set in place after my first recorder lesson at the Christchurch School of Music as a six year old. From the recorder (which I still enjoy playing) I progressed onto the flute, an instrument I have taught for over 20 years both privately and as an itinerant teacher.   I am currently teaching at Queenspark and Heathcote Valley Primary Schools.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music and Sociology, a Graduate Diploma of Secondary Teaching from Massey University, and an LTCL in flute.   I am currently studying towards a Master of Education in Special Education.

I look forward to discussing how I can help you or your child gain enjoyment from learning the flute or recorder.
