Recorder Tuition

The descant recorder is a perfectly-sized instrument through which young children are able to learn to read music while they play.  Children delight in playing recognisable tunes almost immediately, and the approachable modern methods which come complete with lively backing tracks make learning and practising a pleasure.

Older may children progress onto the larger recorders (treble, tenor and bass), and some schools are lucky to have their own recorder ensemble, made up of these four recorders.

Young recorder-players who can read music make the transition onto other orchestral or band instruments very easily, and often make exceptional progress.
